Update: Ammo Ordering and Pickup

new-law-prohibits-retired-california-cop-from-buying-ammo-in-home-state.jpg

We had a great response to our curb side ammo sales on Saturday. Thank you to all the customers that worked with us to find a temporary solution to keeping everybody stocked up during this time.

We have decided to continue this program on a regular, weekly basis for the foreseeable future. We will be taking orders all week via e-mail and messages for pick-ups on Saturday mornings between 10am and noon.

Here’s our process:
E-mail or message us your order before 10:00am on Saturday, and we will have it ready for pick-up at the range between 10:00am and Noon on Saturday. We’ll be doing this until we re-open.

For the sake of government record-keeping, we will require the following information when ordering ammo by email:
- Full name
- Age/DOB
- Address
- PAL# (all 12 digits)
- Ammo type & quantity

Our pickup procedure will be:
- Show up on Saturday between 10am and noon
- Bring PAL to front door and show it at the window. If there is a lineup, stand at least 2m from the next person.
- We bring your bundle to the door and let you in to pay (debit or credit only, DO NOT BRING CASH PLEASE).
- Leave with a satisfied smile as we sanitize the equipment.

If you have any questions or concerns, drop a comment or send a PM.

In the meantime, here is an updated inventory list to help with ordering. We are going to make attempts to order new stock of the stuff that got sold out, and to expand our selection of hunting ammo. We will update this list accordingly. And if you’re looking for reloading supplies, there is a tab for that at the bottom.

TSA vs COVID-19

TSA vs COVID-19

By now we’re all well-aware of the novel Coronavirus that has caused mass toilet-paper hoarding and public institution shutdowns all over the world. As gun-owners, we are perhaps a little better equipped than most to discern when the media may be trying to make something sound more dangerous than it really is, but we’re also not going to take unnecessary risks with our health.

Mid-May Update

We have a few items we wanted to get pushed out to the public that couldn't wait until the next regular monthly update.

Happy-May-24-Victoria-Day.jpg

Next weekend is the Victoria Day long weekend, Yay!!  As per our usual long weekend operations, there will be no staffed hours on Friday evening or Saturday and Sunday.  The range is still open to members with fob access 24 / 7 during the long weekend.  If you are in need of something that requires staff, such as stocking up on ammo or renewing your membership, you will have to make it in Thursday evening between 6 and 8 to catch us!!

We have had a last minute mid week booking for this Wednesday, May 15.  This is a day time booking, the range will be closed to members from 8:00am until 4:00pm.  We are currently reviewing the rental policy to ensure that more notice can be given for these rentals.  Sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

Last item, we are trying to gauge interest in holding another PPC Competition level holster course.  We are currently looking at later in June or early July for this course.  It would be on a Sunday from 9:00 until about 4:00, regardless of the date.  If you are interested, or know somebody from our range or another range that is interested, please get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can see if there is enough interest to run a course.

April Update

We don't have much of an update this month, everything is running along like it should.  We are running regular PPC and NRA 1800 matches.  We are planning on having one of each, per month.

The NRA 1800 is a test of your accuracy and stamina, 90 rounds of 22lr and 90 rounds of center fire are involved in the course of fire.  If you want to see how your shooting is improving, try this match out and watch your scores go up as your techniques and abilities are refined.

The PPC matches are a perfect, relaxed atmosphere for everybody with a new holster qualification to get some practice drawing and firing their gun.  It also gives you the chance to shoot from various positions and different yardages.  This is another great sport to watch your scores go up over time as your shooting improves.  If you are interested in shooting PPC, our next holster qualification course will be Sunday, April 14, 2019.  E-mail or call the range for more details.

Remember, all these matches are just for fun, to help you get better at the shooting sports.  Everybody was new once, there are lots of people to help you through the first match and want you to enjoy yourself.  You are only shooting against your last score and yourself.  Except for Juice and I.  It is totally a no holds barred, gloves off, to the death competition for us!!! Ha ha ha!!

As we have mentioned before, if you find anything in the range that need attention, or repaired, please send us a quick e-mail.  This way we can make arrangements to have the problem fixed in the most timely fashion possible.

We just got a fresh shipment of ammo in last week, the shelves are full of great deals on your favorite calibers.  If you are looking for ammunition for your target pistol, we got a great price on cases of CCI standard.  Don't forget we can help you with you pistol reloading component needs as well.  And if you are in the market for once fired range brass, we will have it available at the range in the near future for popular calibers.

Enjoy the nice weather, hopefully spring is here to stay
