Spring Updates
/March was a busy month at the range, lots of training courses, shooting matches and new faces.
We have introduced over 50 new people to the shooting sports since the new year during our PAL and RPAL courses. There are a few more on the horizon in April and May, unfortunately these are almost full. If you know somebody interested in get a PAL or upgrading to an RPAL, tell them to e-mail us and we will get them into a course as soon as we are able.
Be sure to check our calendar for the April schedule of events. Please note, that during the 2 RPAL courses, we would like to limit the use of the range to 22LR rifles and pistols only. We are working our way up to having the range fully open during courses, but we need to take it one step at a time to ensure the students aren't disturbed by the noise during the courses. Thank you for your patients with this process. Hopefully as the soundproofing efforts continue, we will be able to increase the calibers that can be shot during training courses.
Keep an eye on the website calendar for the most up to date events. We will be scheduling another CSSA Holster course in the near future to help a few that didn't get into the last one. Also, we will be starting our pistol marksmanship program in the near future. If you are interested in the basic pistol marksmanship course, please let us know once we have nailed down dates for it.
You may notice a few changes around the range. We have improved lighting above the firing line by adding a new row of lights directly above the shooter. Also, the ventilation system has been improved to increase air flow in the shooting area, as well as helping heat this portion of the range. We are planning on adding more lights to light up the targets at the 25 yard line as well.
Safe Shooting!
